Sometimes you just feel like plunging into an overwhelming culture. Yesterday was the Montréal Ukrainian Festival: great atmosphere, tantalizing food, foreign writings I cannot decipher (yet!), plenty of people, a few dressed-up army officers, joyful natives chatting happily and loudly... so much so that I literally felt transported to that Ukraine my cousin resided in recently. The cold and humid weather probably added to the feeling of being in Eastern Europe too:

Yup, a Lada with a polka-dot putty job parked nearby. You can just feel the authenticity.

Cute blondes and mouth-watering food everywhere.

Most likely lip-syncing girl-band; the tech at the controls was drinking and chatting away during their skit. :)

Chaika dance company: fit and colorful dancers from Hamilton, Ontario. The crowd cheered lots!
